This past month I sat down with three local Seattle stylists to discuss how hair and identity go hand-in-hand.
In this segment, I spoke with Micki Thorson of Shire and Shears and their dog Tim Tam.
We talked a lot about the work they're doing to create safe spaces for the neurodivergent, queer, and immunocompromised communities of Seattle.
We also touched on curls, what it's like to start to build a specialized clientele, and what little steps you can do to make your salon space more inclusive.
